About the Middle School

Tomb of the Unknown SoldierTrinity's Middle School section includes grades six, seven, and eight and focuses on the transition from lower school to secondary school as well as from childhood to young adulthood. Our middle school students work on developing disciplined methods of study, organizational skills and increased personal responsibility.

The school year consists of four nine-week grading periods, comprising two semesters. Students attend seven class periods daily, each of which is filled with required course work. Core curriculum is supplemented with specialized instruction in Computer Science, Fine Arts, French, Spanish and Latin.

The students’ first opportunity for leadership recognition begins at the end of eighth grade when those who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership and character.   Middle school students also have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills as members of the Junior High Student Council.

Supplementing a solid academic program is a well-planned, closely supervised social program, which is central to Trinity’s middle school experience. Group activities, such as “Fifth Quarter” parties and the eighth grade Washington trip, promote self-confidence, school spirit and camaraderie.
