The scope of this course is pre-history to the Age of Exploration. This is a study of ancient civilizations, medieval societies, and their impact on later cultures, both eastern and western. The study of the Renaissance and the Reformation, coupled with the era leading to the Age of Exploration, brings the student to the dawn of the Modern Age.
