About the Athletic Program

Trinity Presbyterian School enthusiastically encourages athletic participation as an opportunity for students to build self-esteem, healthy bodies and an appreciation for teamwork. Athletics is an important part of the Trinity experience, both for the athletes themselves and for the students and families who take “Wildcat Pride” in the team’s consistent success. Friday night football games always feature a standing-room-only crowd, the smell of hamburgers on the grill and unbridled enthusiasm.

Trinity fields 31 boys and girls teams, competing for championships in the tough 4A Division of the Alabama High School Athletic Association. Girls compete in volleyball, tennis basketball, softball, cross country, soccer, track and golf. While boys participate in football, basketball, baseball, tennis golf, soccer, track and cross country.

Trinity’s award-winning junior high, junior varsity and varsity cheerleaders are champions themselves, successfully competing in local and regional competitions. Skillful stunts and exciting gymnastic performances add spirit and entertainment to the sidelines.

Trinity teams workout, practice and compete on some of the area’s finest fields and indoor facilities. A 2,000 seat football stadium, two regulation gyms, beautifully manicured football, baseball and softball fields, a fully equipped weight room and six tennis courts give our student athletes the fullest opportunity to reach their maximum potential. A fully equipped concession area, with an adjacent terrace, enhances the food and fellowship that are such an integral part of Trinity sports.

Trinity’s skilled coaching staff has built a reputation for excellence and integrity. The coaches work to instill in each student athlete a desire to excel, but not at the expense of academics. Athletics come fourth for Trinity students, behind God, family and school commitments.

Trinity's standard for Team Selection can be found here.

All athletes for the 2008-09 school year must participate in a new AHSAA program called the "Star Sportsmanship Program."  This online interactive program must be completed BEFORE participating in the 2008-09 athletic season.    Directions for the Star Program can be found here.
