PIANO LESSONS - Private piano instruction is available weekly in 30-minute sessions. The teacher, Lynda Aitken, offers instruction in keyboard skills, as well as theory, sight-reading and technique. Student schedules are arranged through the piano instructor. A recital is held each year. Openings are filled based on availability. ART - After school art classes are offered on Tuesdays (1st-3rd) and Thursdays (4th-5th) from 3:00-4:00 PM. Students will be learning a variety of techniques beginning with basic drawing skills. Students will also experience a variety of media, including acrylic paint, tempera and water colors. Students will create 2-dimensional as well as 3-dimensional art work. BALLET - Meredith Peden offers ballet, jazz and creative movement classes to girls in grades K4-5th grade. Classes are group based on age and the class is for one hour a week. There is a recital in the Spring. For more information, contact Meredith at 334-669-0375 or email

TAEKWONDO - John Fleming of Fleming’s Martial Arts holds a Taekwondo class every Thursday after school. During the 60-minute class, students learn the basics of self defense, skills of discipline, and self-control. A 4-week introductory session is available and includes a free uniform for all new students. There are 2 exhibitions each year.
