Trinity School Welcomes Head of School Bill Shelnutt to Campus
Trinity School is pleased to welcome Head of School Bill Shelnutt to campus effective July 1. Shelnutt was named as Trinity’s fifth Head of School in September by the Trinity Board of Trustees but remained at Saint Luke’s School in Columbus, Georgia to fulfill his obligation as their Head. The Shelnutt family is excited to now call Montgomery home and to start the new school year as Wildcats!
During this transition time, Merle Henkel served not only in his role as CFO but also as Interim Head of School. Mr. Henkel and Mr. Shelnutt have remained in contact throughout the year, creating a seamless transition in leadership during these unprecedented times.
Preparations for the 2020-21 school year continue to take shape, including the creation of a Medical Advisory Board to help prepare Trinity for a safe return to campus for students and faculty. The start of school is slated for August 5th.
Trinity is excited to begin her 50th year of providing Christian education to students in the River Region. In an ever-changing world, one thing has remained constant – God is sovereign, and His love is unending for all people. And as a community of believers, Trinity is committed to the school’s mission, “To glorify God by providing for students the highest quality, college-preparatory education, training them in the biblical world and life view, thus enabling them to serve God in spirit, mind, and body.”
