We are actively seeking candidates for the following positions:

Classroom Substitute

In order to create an encouraging learning environment for students while their classroom teacher is absent, the substitute teacher will need to effectively manage and instruct the class from roll call through to tidying up the classroom after the students have left.

Some of the substitute teacher’s duties and responsibilities include:

  • Follow the lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students
  • Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground and in the cafeteria
  • Provide in class and at home assignments based on the available lesson plan
  • For long-term substitutes: develop lesson plans and assignments consistent with the regular teacher’s past lesson plans
Science: Upper School Science Teacher

We are seeking a talented and engaging Upper School Science teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is passionate about science and values working closely with upper school students. 

Successful candidates will be grounded in a commitment to Christ-centered education, seeking to cultivate both the minds and hearts of students. They will contribute to a school culture that values academic excellence, strong character, and meaningful relationships.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of Upper School history courses within a college preparatory curriculum
  • Design and deliver instruction that encourages inquiry, analysis, and problem solving
  • Foster a classroom environment built on respect, curiosity, and active engagement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and alignment
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Use a variety of assessment methods to monitor student progress
  • Serve as an advisor and support students beyond the classroom
  • Participate in the broader life of the school, including meetings, events, and professional growth

Qualifications: 

  • A personal faith in Jesus Christ that is evident in both professional practice and daily life
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • Teaching experience at the secondary level preferred
  • Strong content knowledge in the discipline
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written
  • A deep understanding of and appreciation for working with adolescent learners
  • Experience working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to a team environment
  • Interest and ability to contribute to our athletics and extracurricular programs is an additional consideration
History: Upper School History Teacher

We are seeking a thoughtful and engaging Upper School History teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is passionate about history and committed to helping students think critically, write clearly, and engage meaningfully with the world around them.

Successful candidates will be grounded in a commitment to Christ-centered education, seeking to cultivate both the minds and hearts of students. They will contribute to a school culture that values academic excellence, strong character, and meaningful relationships.

We are seeking a thoughtful and engaging Upper School English teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is passionate about literature and writing and is committed to helping students think critically, communicate clearly, and engage deeply with texts.

Successful candidates will be grounded in a commitment to Christ-centered education, seeking to cultivate both the minds and hearts of students. This individual will contribute to a school culture that values academic excellence, strong character, and meaningful relationships.
