Jimmy Hitchcock Memorial Award | Trinity Presbyterian School Athletics

The Jimmy Hitchcock Memorial Award

The Jimmy Hitchcock Memorial Award represents one of the highest honors a high school athlete in the River Region can receive. Named in memory of the late James "Jimmy" Hitchcock—a standout at Auburn University and in the NFL—the award was established in 1959 to honor Christian leadership and outstanding sportsmanship among high school athletes.

Each year, Trinity Presbyterian School proudly nominates a senior who exemplifies the values that Jimmy Hitchcock stood for: integrity, humility, leadership, athletic excellence, and a steadfast commitment to faith. These students are recognized not only for their contributions on the field or court but also for their witness of it—in the classroom, in the community, and in their walk with Christ.

Winning or being nominated for the Jimmy Hitchcock Award is a testament to a student-athlete’s character and impact. We are proud of all those from Trinity who have upheld this legacy over the years.
