Trinity’s Fleming Hall Signs to Play Baseball at Auburn University
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Trinity Presbyterian School is proud to announce that senior Fleming Hall has officially signed his national letter of intent to play baseball at Auburn University. A long-time commit to the Tigers, Hall made it official during a signing ceremony held on campus, surrounded by teammates, coaches, and family.
Hall verbally committed to Auburn shortly after his freshman year, when he emerged as one of the most dominant pitchers in the state. Despite enduring multiple injuries that limited his time on the mound, Hall has remained a standout leader for the Wildcats and one of the state’s most respected hitters.
“It’s been a very long time,” Hall said after signing. “Obviously, it’s something you dream about each and every day. You can’t wait to make it official, can’t wait to be officially a part of that Auburn team.”
Hall’s journey has included its share of adversity. A bone spur and a fractured bone sidelined his pitching career for much of his sophomore and junior seasons. Still, he remained a key contributor as a designated hitter and continued to lead his team in the dugout and off the field.
“Fleming is one of the most resilient young men I’ve ever coached,” said Head Coach Chad Mansmann. “He’s a tireless worker, an exceptional leader, and a young man of great character. He’s been through some tough breaks physically, but he never let it break his spirit. Auburn is getting a special player—and an even better person.”
Hall credits Auburn’s coaching staff, especially Head Coach Butch Thompson, for sticking with him throughout his recovery. “They’ve been with me through all the troubles,” Hall said. “They never gave up on me. Coach Thompson is one of the most amazing guys I’ve ever met. He’s a man of God and cares about developing you not just as a player, but as a person. I can’t wait to be part of that program.”
In addition to baseball, Hall returned to Trinity’s football team this fall and remains a multi-sport athlete. He’s hopeful for a full return to pitching this spring as he closes out his high school career.
“Lord willing, I’ll be able to pitch a lot this year,” Hall said. “It’s been a long road, but I’m ready.”
Trinity Presbyterian School celebrates this milestone moment with Fleming and looks forward to watching him continue his journey with the Auburn Tigers.
