Trinity Senior John Morris Named National Merit Finalist

Trinity Presbyterian School proudly announces that senior John Morris has been recognized as a National Merit Finalist, a prestigious academic honor awarded to the nation’s top high school scholars.

This distinction is reserved for students who score in the top 0.5% of all high school students taking the PSAT and successfully navigate a rigorous scholarship application process. Finalists are selected based on their academic achievements, SAT scores, extracurricular involvement, leadership roles, and awards. Each year, only about 15,000 students nationwide earn this esteemed recognition.

John is an outstanding example of the well-rounded excellence Trinity aims to instill in its students. In addition to his academic success, he serves as the Student Government Association (SGA) President and a School Ambassador, representing Trinity with leadership and integrity.

John is also a leader on the football, basketball, and soccer teams and has been nominated for the Jimmy Hitchcock Award, which honors student-athletes for their leadership, character, and commitment to sportsmanship. His dedication on and off the field is a testament to his perseverance and well-rounded excellence.

“John exemplifies what it means to be a Trinity Wildcat,” said Suzanne Satcher, Head of School. “His commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and perseverance make him a role model for his peers. We are incredibly proud of his achievements and excited to see what the future holds for him.”

As a National Merit Finalist, John is now eligible for prestigious scholarship opportunities and continues to represent the exceptional standard of students at Trinity Presbyterian School.

Congratulations, John, on this well-deserved honor!
